At One Less Smoke, your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe. We built this app to help you reduce smoking — not to collect unnecessary data.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile picture, provided through Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.
- User identifiers: a unique user ID created by Firebase, and a device or advertising identifier where required by Google Play services.
- App usage data: interactions such as button taps, smoking reports, postponed or missed cigarettes, and schedule settings.
- User-generated content: your profile settings, reduction goals, and messages you post in the community chat.
- Purchase history: subscription status and purchase records verified through Google Play Billing and our backend.
- Notification token: an FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token used to deliver scheduled cigarette reminders and chat notifications.
We do not collect health or fitness data, precise location, contacts, photos, videos, or audio recordings.
2. How we use your information
- To create and sync your personalized smoking-reduction schedule.
- To send local reminders for planned cigarettes and community messages.
- To manage your account and keep your data available across devices.
- To verify and manage Premium subscriptions.
- To improve app stability, fix bugs, and respond to support requests.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted services to operate the app:
- Firebase (Google) — for authentication, database, notifications, and cloud infrastructure. Your data is also subject to the Firebase Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing — for processing subscriptions and purchases.
- Notifee — for scheduling local notifications on your device.
4. Data security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure cloud storage, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we follow reasonable industry practices to safeguard your information.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with trusted service providers needed to run the app, or when required by law.
6. Your rights
